Benefits for Breast Feeding Mothers

The breastfeeding mothers are no just donors rather they also do benefit from breastfeeding. Breastfeeding helps releasing hormones including oxytocin and prolactin that have been found to relax mothers and cause them to experience nurturing feelings toward their infants. The breastfeeding after giving birth to child helps increasing levels of oxytocin that encourages the uterus to contract more quickly and decreasing maternal bleeding.

Breastfeeding helps mothers returing to their normal weight; fat is accumulated during pregnancy is used in milk production. Frequent and exclusive breastfeeding helps delaying the return of menstruation and fertility known as lactational amenorrhoea.
